Wieners
Austria is full of Wieners. They mostly come from Wien which is otherwise known as Vienna. There are fantastic coffees, sausages, schnitzels and beers to be had here. There is quite some history to be marveled at. Palaces, opera houses and lots of old buildings. There are even gold statues, which look as good as when they were made – at least in my imagination. I travelled about there for a long weekend and realized how far behind we in England are, for it is more modern and more historical at the same time over the pond in that part of Europe. Double-deckered trams, Spanish riding schools and even snickers ice cream abound there.
There is even a choice of sausages and bread (which come together) to be had. I enjoyed the Käsekreiner, which was bought from a small boutique in the centre of Vienna. I was even complimented by a local that I bought the right one. It was full of cheese, which I find makes every food type better. They do speak German there but all you have to do is slur drunkenly and they understand.
The only problem is the state (and inaccuracy) of their lifts. We were able to travel quite comfortably up a lift which said we were overweight, and then when we tried to ascend in one which was supposed to adequately able to transfer our weight we became stuck somewhere between the first floor and the second. Luckily – after ten minutes of messing around and taking selfies – we managed to escape. Wieners all around please.
