Medieval Experiments
I have been reading (in The Knights Templar by Sean Martin) about the terrible but devious experiments done in the past. Frederick II of 1194-1250 was described as the Antichrist by Pope Gregory IX. He was clever but very evil. Here are the experiments he devised:
Children were raised in complete silence in order to observe what language they would speak when they were old enough to talk. This would therefore prove what language Adam and Eve had spoken in the Garden of Eden.
A man was imprisoned in a wine barrel to see if his soul could be seen departing from his body at the moment of death.
Two men: one lazy, the other energetic – were killed and then dissected in order to find how their lifestyles affected their organs.
