Stag Do

There is a place out there that will kill you. No it isn’t a bar serving obscenely strong drinks, no it is Lee Valley Water Park, where the Olympic canoeing contests was held. They must be superhuman, courageous, brave – all the rest of it – because drowning isn’t fun. Learning to go through white water rapids will at some point turn its watery head on you as it tries to kill you. We went through a tiny amount of training and then went out on the course on an inflated raft. This was great fun until the madman in charge thought about having a bit of fun himself and capsizing the boat. Nuff said.
